1. Program Description
Affordable Self Storage offers a customer-care SMS program for storage account updates, payment confirmations and reminders, failed-payment and past-due notices, gate or facility access information, document requests, facility service updates, and responses to tenant questions. We do not use this program for marketing or promotional messages.
2. Message Types & Frequency
You may receive account alerts, payment notices, access or facility updates, document requests, and conversational replies to your questions. Message frequency varies, typically 1–4 messages per month based on account activity and conversations.
3. Cost and Carriers
Message and data rates may apply. Affordable Self Storage does not charge for SMS; your carrier's standard rates apply. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Not all carriers are supported.
4. How to Opt-In
You may opt in through the SMS form on this website or by giving affirmative verbal consent in person or by phone after our staff provides the SMS disclosure. We record the mobile number, date and time, staff member or form source, and disclosure version. Consent is not required to rent a storage unit or purchase any goods or services.
5. How to Opt-Out
Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, calling 607-770-9342, or visiting 2248 Airport Rd, Johnson City, NY. One final confirmation message will be sent after opt-out is processed.

7. Data Collection and Use
We collect your name, mobile number, and account details; message delivery and interaction data; and carrier/device info. This data is used to deliver messages, improve our program, maintain 10DLC compliance, and prevent fraud.
8. Data Retention
Active subscribers: data retained for the duration of your relationship. Opt-out requests: number and opt-out status retained indefinitely. Message logs: retained up to 2 years for compliance purposes.
9. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell or rent your mobile number. Information may be shared only as needed with our SMS service provider, Telnyx, participating mobile carriers, service vendors supporting message delivery and compliance, legal authorities when required by law, or in a business transfer. Providers are required to protect the data they process for us.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your information. No electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but strive to protect your data.
11. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to opt out of SMS messages at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13.
12. 10DLC Compliance
Affordable Self Storage registers its messaging program as required by mobile carriers and The Campaign Registry (TCR). Customer-care messages are sent from our dedicated SMS number, 607-340-0015.

14. Changes to This Policy
